Damn, I haven't written anything for a minute. Part of the reason is I couldn't get our hi-speed internet to work until last night and I don't have access to my blog at work.
Now that I've got the excuses out of the way, I want to apologize to my buddy, Jen (who will probably never see this), who I called out last week for not blogging. It has been rough (to put it lightly) to not be able to train so I've been living vicariously through all my friends who are still able to.
I have been feeling better and exercising alot. Running, , swimming, biking, solo drills and yoga mostly and its been lifting my spirits but nothing really can take the place of training. I just got the word from Doc Wingo that I need to stay on the shelf for another month. This is sucking major balls (and not in the good way that balls can be sucked)but maybe I will be more prepared in October....that's what I'm gonna say to convince myself it's not that bad.
How Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Yoga transformed my life....and just about anything else I want to write about

Allow Me to Reintroduce Myself...
My name is Lateef. I originally set out for this blog to be about my experiences with my old Brazilian Jiu jitsu school, hence the URL...I haven't figured out how to change it. Things changed drastically when I got a new job and was unable to train like I wanted. I couldn't train so I didn't want to blog about not training.
Well now I have more time and I've been training...one problem. About a month ago, I had back surgery to remove a herniated disc. OH JOY...not. The pot of gold at the end of this never ending rainbow is that I have time to blog about recovery, getting back on the mats eventually but most importantly, I get to talk about all the shit 30- somethings like myself need to stop doing.
I hope I can make you laugh, make you cry, make you wish you didn't do some of the shit you do. If I don't...well, I don' much care, I just feel like writing again and thats enough for me.
